INTRODUCTION | NEWS | ||||
| |
The NJIOF Partnership supports the goals of New Jersey manufacturers by forming alliances among key industries, industry associations, federal and state agencies, and university-industrial extension groups.
Development of the Partnership is facilitated by a consortium of organizations led by the New Jersey Small Business Development Center (NJSBDC), which is part of the Rutgers Business School – Newark and New Brunswick. It includes the New Jersey Sustainable State Institute, which is affiliated with both the Bloustein School at Rutgers and the York Center for Engineering and Environmental Science at NJIT, the Small Chemical Businesses Division of the American Chemical Society (ACS), and the Center for Advanced Energy Systems at Rutgers University.
Through the alliances, the firms in each industry identify priority needs in the areas of energy efficiency, renewable energy, and environmental protection, as well as broader needs to improve productivity, train workers, and introduce new more efficient, “lean” management and manufacturing practices. They identify federal and state resources and services to help meet their needs, and develop roadmaps for mobilizing and applying those resources to strengthen the New Jersey’s industrial manufacturing. .
